High flexibility

The urban traffic intersection has the characteristics of wide distribution and dispersed geographical location. With the lack of flexibility in the wired network, we must consider the needs of future development as far as possible. We must presuppose a large number of information points with low utilization rate. When the wireless network is built, the wireless terminal station is set up at any location within the wireless signal coverage area, and the network access can be realized, which has high flexibility.


When there is a need to increase the service point, there is no need for a large area of network transformation. As long as the wireless devices that are monitored are increased or reduced, the monitoring points can be increased or reduced.

Convenient installation and construction

The use of wireless network can avoid or reduce the workload of network cabling without damaging the existing environmental facilities, and has the characteristics of short construction period and high cost performance.

Fast coverage

The biggest advantage of wireless network system is its ability to achieve rapid coverage. With the use of point to multi point wireless communication, only one or more wireless central station devices are needed, and a broadband wireless access network system covering the whole city area can be established.

Component of wireless video surveillance system

The intersection of wireless video surveillance system consists of three parts: video information collection point, wireless transmission system and traffic control center.

Intersection video capture point

According to the specific conditions of each city, the corresponding monitoring cameras (color or black-and-white, fixed or active cloud platform, fixed focus or zoom) and software systems are installed at each intersection. One or more surveillance cameras can be installed at each traffic intersection, and a cloud platform, a protective cover and a PTZ controller are arranged on the periphery. Each video capture point matches one video codec. Video surveillance cameras are used to collect real-time traffic signals of urban roads, mainly monitoring vehicles within a certain range of traffic crossings. The cloud platform can be controlled by the computer of the control center. Users can control the camera horizontally at 360 degree, vertical 90 degree and zoom control.

The video codec transforms the analog video signal of the camera into digital signal, compresses it, and also transmits control signals. The video codec has built-in 10/100M network card and connected to the wireless monitoring device through the network line. The monitoring information after the compression processing is collected through the wireless network to traffic monitoring and management. The center, the monitoring center can see the state of the road and intersection under its jurisdiction. The monitoring personnel can browse video images and remote control cloud platform through the monitoring center LAN or Internet remote real-time.

In order to fully guarantee the bandwidth of each monitoring point, the coding standard of MPEG4 is adopted, the bandwidth is low, and the high quality transmission and storage of the image can be realized, and the transmission distance is far away. It is suitable for the monitoring of the vast area of the city.

Wireless video transmission system

Through wireless broadband access devices, a wireless broadband network covering urban junctions is built by point to multipoint method. Install a wireless bridge Sunet5800 (central station) at the center point and install Sunet5800-RU (remote station) at the remote monitoring point. The center station is chosen to be installed at the height of the city, such as the top of the high building, the top of the tower, the top of the mountain and so on, so as to ensure that the signals from each branch can be received as far as possible.

A central point and a number of distribution access points are connected, and the distribution access points share the total channel bandwidth provided by the central point in a shared way, and the total bandwidth can be allocated according to the real-time needs of the access users by sharing. The system adopts the 802.11a protocol standard, the total bandwidth of the system is 54Mbps, the effective bandwidth is 22Mbps, and the wireless remote monitoring points connected by each center station are 3-5, and the effective access bandwidth of each distribution access point is generally 4Mbps. Both the Sunet5800 remote station and the central station equipment provide the 10/100BaseT Ethernet interface. The switch, video decoder and video camera of the monitoring center can be connected directly to the 10/100BaseT Ethernet interface of the Sunet5800 device.

Traffic control center

The security monitoring center is mainly composed of video codec, matrix TV wall, monitoring server, hard disk recorder and so on. It can receive and display the scene image of the intersection, and the storage, retrieval, playback, backup and recovery of the video.

The video codec decode and decode the video signal collected by the front monitoring point video camera transmitted by the wireless network, and transmit it to the monitoring server of the local area network of the monitoring management center, and then through the internal LAN of the switch to the customer end of the relevant departments or personnel.

In the center, the images of multiple monitoring points can be seen in the center by multi-channel video wall view. The images of 9/16 video cameras can be displayed at the same time by the display mode of matrix TV wall.

The control instructions issued by the wireless monitoring center to the cloud platform, lens and so on are transmitted to the monitoring points through wireless devices. The user can control the scene of the scene at any point in the scene, the aperture of the lens, the focal length, the zoom of the scene, the focal length, the zoom, and the power supply, the camera switch, etc. of the top, lower, left, right, automatic or auxiliary control of the far end.

The video images returned in the field are converted into digital signals to be stored on the hard disk recorder, which can conveniently and quickly realize the storage, update, query and backup of the data, and provide the basis for the law enforcement work such as traffic violation.

Because a large number of 2.4GHz spread spectrum communication products have been deployed in the urban area, the interference in the 2.4GHz band is more serious. The wireless network products using the 5.8GHz band can get better signal to noise ratio than the 2.4GHz wireless network products.
